Mercadim - Regional Marketplace
A digital platform designed to bridge the gap between local consumers and entrepreneurs, stimulating the regional economy through a free virtual storefront.
I developed the user interface for Mercadim to create a regional marketplace where small-scale producers can showcase their catalogs digitally with zero entry costs. The platform was built within the IFCE ecosystem to stimulate local commerce.
Project Scope
The virtual storefront allows entrepreneurs to create profiles and manage products simply, connecting local supply with community demand while fostering loyalty programs.
Technical Implementation
I spearheaded the entire user interface development, focusing on high-performance execution:
- React Frontend: Developed modular and responsive UI components to ensure seamless navigation across mobile and desktop devices.
- API Integration: Integrated the frontend with robust PHP backends, managing complex data flows for the institutional database.
- Secure Authentication: Implemented JWT (JSON Web Token) based security, providing reliable session management for both business owners and system administrators.
- Virtual Storefront: Built regionalized search and discovery logic to connect buyers directly with their immediate communities.
Impact & Results
